How We Build
Principles Behind Commerce Health.
What you can expect from the software, in plain terms.
-
Read-only by design
Scans only read your store's configuration and recent order counts. They never change settings, content or WooCommerce data, and never place test orders.
-
Your store data stays on your site
Scan results, orders and customer details are not sent to Kodenzo. There is no telemetry.
-
Honest about its limits
It tells you what it found, not what it cannot see. It does not fix problems for you, cannot see charges at your payment provider, and cannot detect every possible problem.
-
Built from real client problems
Every check exists because a store broke in a way that was hard to see. We fix the problem for clients first, then build what is worth keeping.
Checkout Failures We're Watching
Real Cases From the WooCommerce Ecosystem.
Publicly documented examples of how a checkout problem can start. They are not about Commerce Health, and each one links to its source.
-
Charged, but the order stays "Pending payment"
A store owner reported that opening the order-pay page can change a pending order's payment method to the customer's saved-card gateway, while the order still shows the gateway actually used. In the report, a customer was charged and the order stayed in Pending payment. It was reported on WooCommerce 10.8.1 with the Checkout block and high-performance order storage, and a maintainer has confirmed it as a bug.
What it shows: an order can look unpaid while the customer believes they paid, with no error on the page. If you offer saved cards on more than one gateway, test paying with one gateway as a customer who has a saved card on another, and look at your recent Pending payment orders.
-
A WooCommerce release pulled over an older payment extension
WooCommerce temporarily pulled version 10.9.0 because it conflicted with older versions of the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway extension. Stores running 10.9.0 with the latest Stripe extension were not affected. WooCommerce 10.9.1 is described as the first stable release of the 10.9 series.
What it shows: a WooCommerce update and a payment extension can clash depending on the extension's version. Keep payment extensions current, and test checkout after every update.
Issue #69657 last checked 20 October 2026 (still open, no fix linked). The 10.9.0 item last checked 18 October 2026. Statuses can change after that.
