1. Introduction

KODENZO (“KODENZO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides WordPress and WooCommerce engineering services, custom plugin development, API integrations, software products, technical resources, case studies, educational content, and a newsletter, primarily through our website at https://kodenzo.com (the “Site”).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you. It applies to visitors of the Site, prospective and existing clients, newsletter subscribers, and anyone who otherwise interacts with us in connection with our services.

By using the Site or otherwise providing us with personal information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site or provide us with your information.

We collect information in a few different ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically as you use the Site, and information collected through third-party tools that support the Site’s functionality.

2.5 Contact Forms

When you submit an enquiry through a Contact form on the Site, we collect the information you enter into that form (typically your name, email address, and project details) so that we can respond to your enquiry. Our Contact form is powered by WPForms; see Section 5.3 for details.

2.6 Newsletter Signups

If you subscribe to our newsletter or join a product waitlist, we collect your email address (and, where provided, your name) so that we can send you the updates you signed up for — such as engineering articles, product updates, and release notes. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email we send, or by contacting us directly (see Section 13).

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to enquiries and communicate with prospective and existing clients
  • Provide, operate, and improve our engineering services and software products
  • Send newsletters, product updates, and other communications you have opted into
  • Understand how the Site is used, in order to improve its content, structure, and performance
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Site and our systems
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements and policies

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to those described in this Policy without first notifying you.

4. How We Protect Data

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect the personal information we hold from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include the use of secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the Site, access controls limiting who within KODENZO can access personal information, and the use of reputable third-party infrastructure and service providers (see Section 5) that maintain their own security practices.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, and any transmission of information to us is at your own risk.

5. Third-Party Services

We work with a number of third-party service providers to operate the Site and deliver our services. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and terms, which we encourage you to review. Where a service below is not currently active on the Site, it is listed to describe the categories of tools we may use as the Site evolves.

5.1 Google Analytics

Where enabled, Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate visitor behaviour on the Site (see Section 2.4). Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to collect data about your use of the Site, which is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5.2 Cloudflare

We may use Cloudflare or a similar content delivery network (CDN) and security service to help protect the Site from malicious traffic, improve loading performance, and ensure availability. As part of this, Cloudflare may process certain technical information (such as IP address) in accordance with its own privacy policy.

5.3 WPForms

Our Contact form is built using WPForms, a WordPress form plugin. When you submit the Contact form, the information you enter is processed by WPForms on our behalf and delivered to us; it is not sold or shared by WPForms for its own marketing purposes. WPForms may also use limited technical measures (such as honeypot fields) to help prevent spam submissions.

5.4 Email Services

We may use a third-party email service provider to send newsletters, product updates, and transactional emails (such as a reply to your enquiry). These providers process the email address and any name you provide in order to deliver communications on our behalf, and typically provide analytics such as open and click rates. 6. Embedded Content

Pages on the Site (for example, articles in our Engineering Journal) may include embedded content from other websites, such as videos or code snippets. Embedded content from another website behaves in the same way as if you had visited that other website directly — the third-party site may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

7. Links to Other Websites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or resources that are not owned or controlled by KODENZO. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit after leaving the Site.

8. International Users

KODENZO is based in India, and the Site is hosted and operated from servers that may be located in India or other countries. If you are accessing the Site from outside India — including from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or the United States — your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country different from your own, which may have data protection laws that differ from those of your country of residence. Where required by applicable law, we take steps intended to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

9.1 GDPR Rights (European Economic Area / United Kingdom)

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, you have the right, subject to certain conditions and exceptions under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR, to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Restriction — request that we limit how we use your information in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability — request a copy of your information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Object — object to certain processing of your information, including for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection supervisory authority, if you believe our processing of your information does not comply with applicable law.

9.2 CCPA Rights (California Residents, Where Applicable)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, may give you certain rights over the personal information businesses collect about you, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. KODENZO does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise any applicable rights, please contact us using the details in Section 13.

9.3 Indian Data Protection Framework

KODENZO is based in India. We aim to handle personal information in a manner consistent with India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and the applicable rules made under it, as well as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, which are being brought into force in phases. As this framework continues to be implemented and clarified by the Indian government, we will update this Policy as needed to reflect our obligations under it.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide our services, respond to enquiries, comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, and resolve disputes. Newsletter and waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to address the enquiry and for a limited period afterward for record-keeping, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a business and professional audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 13, and we will take steps to delete such information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we offer, or applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through a notice on the Site or by email where appropriate.
