Rather than building a one-off connector per system, the integration was designed as a single secure layer inside WordPress capable of speaking REST, SOAP, and OAuth2 — so future systems could be added to the same layer instead of requiring another bespoke connector.

A unified integration service inside WordPress brokers all outbound and inbound calls, normalising each external system's data shape into one consistent internal format before anything touches WooCommerce or WordPress data.

Built secure OAuth2 authentication against the CRM, a SOAP client for the legacy ERP, and REST endpoints for the payment platform — all routed through the same internal service layer with consistent logging and error handling.
